hello, strange I have porto theme and don’t embed youtube videos. what can be wrong? problem with porto child (it was installed by porto plugin). How to solve? On native template embedded html code works.

Hey Porto,

Been a minute hope all is well. I have a question about product import and export. I want to change all product images to new images with new names for seo.

I downloaded the full product excel file. I changed all images fields to the new images names and imported. In the image field I used the full url to the media library images. When completed only 10% of the images imported successfully. What is the best practice for the image field url and best practice for import export.

Spoke to woocomnerce devs and they tried to reproduce the error with importing multiple images. They have informed that the theme blocks the importing of images unless the theme is default and blank wp 25.

I installed WPML currency switcher. It works fine on desktop. But currencies don’t change in real iPhone (they just change once, then don’t change anymore). I tried mobile view inspection with desktop browser and it works fine. But doesn’t work in real iPhone for example. Did you notice such issue? I also tried “CURCY – Multi Currency for WooCommerce” plugin which works fine by itself but doesn’t recognize template’s currency switcher.

Two questions:

1) How do I adjust the height of the header where the home page search box is for Demo Shop 9?

2) I also submitted another ticket in zendesk and it has not been responded to??? That was, how do you change the color where the text Track Order, Our Stores etc are located? Changing it with elementor when editing the header is not working. Looks like the theme is overwriting it elsewhere.

You can easily do it with Loco translation plugin on the site.

Please use the Loco translate plugin on your site. After installing the plugin please Navigate to Loco >> Themes >> Porto >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.

I really like your theme and would love to use it for a wig shop project. However, before purchasing, I need to confirm whether the following functionality can be implemented with your theme:

Is it possible to set up filtering of product variations on the product page by group? For example, if a wig is available in several shades from different color categories, it’s important that the user can first filter by the main color group (e.g., brunettes, blondes, reds, etc.), and then select a specific shade from the available variations.

It is also essential that the product variations are displayed as photo thumbnails, not just text or color.

First of all, thank you for your interest in Porto WordPress!

Yes, you can enable image swatch variations on the single product page. By default, these appear as smaller images, not as large as shown in your screenshot. However, the size can be easily increased using custom CSS.

Regarding the variation behavior, when one option is selected, the others will be automatically disabled, but not completely removed, as seen on the site you referenced. This is the default functionality of both our theme and WooCommerce.

I had added a piece of javascript (where I don’t know now) that allows people to text the site owner (Kenect) and it has disappeared. Not even sure where I had it now but no matter where I add it, it won’t work. Where should I be putting a code like this <script async src=’https://bit.ly/47XXXXX' type=’text/javascript’></script> to show at the top on all pages?

Thanks for responding. They actually want it to be/popup in the header but it shows at the bottom right. I tried adding the code to the header but I am thinking this would be something they need to set in their Kenect settings. Am I correct?

Yes, they need to because there is no such option to add the JS in the pre built header.

And if you are using the Custom Header, then you can add the JS to the Custom Header by navigating to Porto >> Template Builder >> Header and edit the Custom Header from there, under the page you will find the option to put the JS code: https://pasteboard.co/jRVB2sF6bbU3.png and that code will only apply and work on the header.

Please go to Porto > Theme License, unregister the current theme license, and then re-register it using the same purchase code.

After that, try updating the theme by navigating to Appearance > Themes. Once the theme is updated, proceed to update the plugins individually from Appearance > Install Plugins.

Is it possible to remove the main logo link as it is taking the visitor back to a password protected page always to login?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in option to remove the link from the logo. However, as a workaround, you can use a single image element in the header builder and set its click action to #. This allows you to display the image in place of the logo without making it a clickable link.

I’ve installed and uploaded the themes successfully. When I import a template into the header or any page, everything looks fine during editing. However, when I view the live website, the layout appears messy and broken. I’m using Elementor as my page builder.

Re: video thumbnail

I’ve already edited one of products and added the video URL and thumbnail image in the product settings, as shown in the screenshot you shared. However, the video still doesn’t appear in the product image gallery on the frontend.

Can you please clarify:

Should the video automatically show up as a clickable thumbnail in the product gallery next to the images?
Are there any additional settings I need to enable in the Porto theme options, gallery type, or builder to make it visible?

Can I somehow download a demo with this feature enabled? It seems to be missing from all the demo’s except one, and this one is not downloadable.

I just want to make sure I’m not missing a required step or setting. Thanks in advance for your help!

Guys, how to enable Video Thumbnail? I can see it in one demo only, but it is not even possible to download it from studio. Can I somehow add it to my existing customized Single Product? I filled in YT link and thumbnail in Product Details, but I don’t have Video Thumbnail.

Ok, and should it show automatically in product’s gallery? Or any other criteria has to be meet? Because I have tried that, using Youtube and FTP-hosted videos, and it it doesn’t show in the gallery. Any additional setting to be done?
