Are there any known compatibility issues with the latest version of WordPress?
I’m on WP v4.6.1 and when I have visual composer plugin activated, when I got to edit pages, after about a minute I get an error at the top of the page saying “Connection Lost: Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.”. When I deactivate Visual Composer, I don’t have this issue anymore.
I’ve tried reinstalling a fresh copy of the plugin and I’m on the latest version of the plugin as well (v4.12).
I’ve also updated The7 to the latest version and done fresh installs. Still not working.

Nope, that is not a common issue. It can be caused by a) a problem with internet connection, b) server periodically going offline for short time.
Yes that was my first assumption. So I checked my internet and I’m not losing connection at all. I also checked the website server and that is running fine as well. I double checked with the hosting provider and no issues on their end.
Plus, this issue only happens when the visual composer plugin is activated. When that plugin is not activated, I do not experience the issue anymore.
Thoughts?
I just received a note from another purchaser of The7 and they confirmed they are having the same issue. They narrowed it down further and it seems to be a direct issue with the Ultimate Addons portion of Visual Composer. When this plugin is activated, connection issue happens. When this plugin is deactivated, no issues.
Can you please get in touch with the Ultimate Addons author to help get this resolved? Most plugin authors don’t provide support to those that get the plugin through a theme and didn’t purchase it directly from them.

I have made a comment on the Ultimate Addons Plugin page, and they refused to help and said I need to get support from you – because I did not purchase the plugin, I purchased a theme that had it packaged (The7). So please let me know what can be done to resolve this issue as soon as possible. It is very frustrating.

Done. I also reported issues with some UA elements in newest IE11. Waiting for update 
Awesome. It appears that there is a new version of the Visual Composer plugin available. The one in your theme package is 4.12 but the newest version is 4.12.1 that has some bug fixes that might help me with my issue. It appears that the latest versions are already included in the package. My apologizes for not checking before making that request.
I received word back from the VC plugin author regarding this issue. Here are his notes:
“There is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine.”
Can you please check into this for me to help resolve this issue?
Wow, this is super weird.. Can you please provide you ticket ID or username that you’ve used to contact guys from VC (or UA – sorry I’m already a bit confused). So we can double check everything with the plugin author. Thanks!
Yes. I purchased the VC plugin so I could get support from them. I submitted a ticket via their support system. My ticket number with them is #36801. They closed the ticket immediately after replying so I didn’t get a chance to respond to them. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

FYI, seems like you’ve got a pre-made reply from VC support person. I suspect they were not investigating the issue whatsoever

Please contact your hosting provider: there’s obviously something seriously wrong with you server. In your case The7 (I guess with many plugin enabled?) simply makes more requests to the DB-server therefore is crashes under the stress. This is not normal and we have never heard such (or similar) complains from other people.

You do not need to do anything: logo is automatically linked to your site homepage. The only exception is “Microsite” page template where you can enter the link for the logo manually.
And it would be cool if there would be a buyer’s badge in your profile
Major header issues in IE11 possibly IE10.
The header sits to the left of the screen on all sites that use this theme in IE11, havent check IE10 but you say its supported so please check that as well?
We use the inline header.

You can use all plugins that comes bundled with The7 theme without entering purchase codes or activating them.
However if you want a bit faster plugins updates, some locked features, exclusive content, dedicated support or just want to support their authors – you are more then welcome to purchase dedicated licenses.

Hi there, I might assist a new customers that has already a wordpress page – while uing the inspector I found out that the listed theme folder says ‘dt-the7” .. is this your theme? since the customer has no backup or knowledge of purchase codes etc.. is there any chance to get an extension (what would you need as information)? thanks in advance…

Yes, “dt-the7” is The7 theme folder name. If your client does not have the purchase code, please ask him to contact a person who developed the site for him. Otherwise please ask your client to purchase theme properly via ThemeForest.

deferring JavaScript is a bad idea with most of multipurpose themes. In fact I do not know any multipurpose theme that will work with it.

The7 does not control LayerSlider translation. I can only suggest you to switch the entire WP to English in Settings -> General.
Just got finished updating a client of mine who had this theme. WOW!! Never seen anything like it! The amount of options one can do without even having to code is mind blowing! I swear, I may not ever have to buy another theme.
With other themes you can import demo + content. BUT if you dont want that ‘look’ its hard to get rid of that demo and install another without having to basically reset db, etc.
The one question I have before I get this is: Does your theme have a way of completely removing a demo + settings and allow me to import another demo + content WITHOUT having to figure out what was left behind from first demo import that may be causing problems with 2nd demo import?
