I have a few questions as evaluating this theme for purchase: - Can instructor add icons to his social/professional profiles like facebook/linkedin? - does instructor has his separate admin panel? - can new instructor register without involving admin? - can instructor upload his course materials and other stuff without involving admin panel?
Most important thing regarding security: - as this is ecommerce site, do you have any security settings so that a student should not be able to download video tutorials he is watching online? - the student should not be able to breach any other security if I use credit card payments?
Can you please answer my queries which will be helpful for me and others.

1. BuddyPress has a feature called: Profile fields. You can add unlimited profile fields of different types which are shown in every users profile.
2. You may want to try out our Instructor demo by logging in as instructor, details are given in Themeforest front page.
3. We have a feature coming up called as Front end course creation. This feature would not require Instructor to go to admin panel to create courses.
4. No, securing resources has to be done at a server level and to fully secure videos they should be hosted in a secure environment, for this we recommend using videopress.com.
5. The payments in WPLMS are handled by WooCommerce which does a really great job in securing transactions and payment related information.

I would really love this to have on my project But before I hit the purchase button, I need to ask one thing: is the learning management already included into the theme or you need to install a plugin? If I need to install a plugin, what plugin would that be? I am just curious since I subscribed from a WordPress LMS plugin (not to mention company name) and its pretty bad.

The WPLMS package = 1 Theme + 8 Plugins, 4 of which are Custom designed plugins for WPLMS. The LMS feature is not contained in a single plugin.
1. One plugin handles the backend interface and storing of data.
2. One plugin acts as an interface between WPLMS + BuddyPress + WooCommerce/PMPro +....
3. One plugin handles all the shortcodes used in the theme.
4. One plugin handles events and integrates it with the WPLMS system.
We’re building more addon’s and including them in the package with every major update.
I would strongly suggest you to try out the Admin interface using the Instructor demo (details given in the front page). Unlike other you’ll find better user experience in the Admin panel while creating/editing courses, units, quizzes etc..
register-in-wplms has big problem
1.cant register(keep refreshing to register-in-wplms page ) if people dont filling the second part(profile fields),but the backend show i have already registered(but wiz no name), but i cant login
2.i delete the basic profile fields, doesn’t work , cant login
3.i fill the name part for the user at backend,still doesn’t work
4.i can see all the users registered at backend, but when they login, they will see the wp-login.php again and again wiz a red text block says nothing.
5.The email notification also dont work
6.the become a teacher form doesnt work.

1. By default the registration page contains a field called “Name” which is hidden in the Base section accordion in registration page. Make sure you’re filling it while trying to register. Or you can use this tip in our forums to make all the Profile groups open by default. Make sure you’ve not used the same email for administrator. Try registering with some other email.

6. We’re using wp_mail functionality in WordPress to send out mails, it may be a case that your server is blocking it and therefore all email related functionality is not working in your site. I would be more than happy to help if you can share above asked details with us.

Just purchased this theme. I’m testing this just for a standard buddypress based site (no LMS, courses, etc). On basic setup, after assigning buddypress register and activate pages, those pages when visited are just redirecting to the home page. This is with Buddypress 1.9.1 and 1.9.2. Have you seen this happen before?
Also, have you considered releasing a version that is not LMS based? There are a few things on the basic setup that would be nice to remove (“become a teacher” button, “Check all Courses created by” etc.)

2. You can simply choose not to install the custom plugins and use it as a pure Buddypress theme, many of our customers are using it as simple Buddypress theme.
We have added tips in our forums (some of which require adding little code snippets) to customize it like the ones you’ve stated above.

Unfortunately, this is not a clone, we’re trying to built an LMS platform which is complete in all sense, it would be best to hire a freelancer to customize it. If you have any issues with translation be sure to create a ticket in forums, we’re actively fixing translation issues.

3. Each subscription product can have multiple connected products, so one product can be used to enable subscription for multiple products. If you want to use WPLMS as a Membership site, we recommend using PMPRo plugin and you can check the live example here.
4. Yes you can embed it as external media link. You can use the WordPress media embed to embed videos in content.
One other question – is it possible to issue coupons for discounts on courses? (20% off, 70% off etc? )

is it possible to hide content in admin (backend) from other user ? like that a new instructor will only see his own courses and units. ? i think it is very important because it can be a lot of content and it can be a trouble to new users on the LMS. thanks
When you login as an Instructor the default active filter is “mine” for Courses, units, etc.. example, let me know I am looking at the wrong place.
As of now this is not possible in WP Admin. However, since we’re building the front end course module, we will add a control in Options panel to hide/show units/courses from other Instructors.

Meanwhile, you may want to test out the same issue with Twenty Fourteen wordpress theme, just to confirm if it is an issue related to WPLMS.
I tested this with others themes as enfold ans twenty fourteen theme and it doesnt work the same
Then I think it would be best to direct the question to JW player plugin support, because prima facie this looks like a plugin specific issue.

After working with the theme a bit, I am impressed and excited.
One thing I plan on doing is integrating CubePoints, a popular WordPress points system – maybe you would consider doing this? It will add a whole bunch of neat features, and allready has a buddypress\BBpress integration. I attempted to work with the plugin within your theme, but it initially does not appear compatible so I am putting it off for now.

Oh – One last thing – bullet points and ordered lists that show up correctly ‘through the filter’ on the course page would be great!
The bullets\UL\OL are also not showing on other areas of the theme. Specifically on the short description in the product shop.
Ive fixed this before and can fix it again – except your theme is complex and being updated a ton, and I am reluctant to change it until I absolutely have to! Some weeks still at least, as long as I just report bugs\issues\concerns in the meantime..
Some might get fixed or incorporated – some might not.

1) In the single course page we have Home/Curriculum/Members/Events/Group/Forum + Reviews
Is it possible to delete Members, Events, Reviews subpages/functions there? Will I be able to easily update this theme with new versions after I mess up with code this way?
2) In previous comments you wrote it is not possible to take courses on demand but I am not sure if I understand what it means. If you could clarify if my understanding below is correct pelase:
I want users to be able to START the course whenever they want. So it is not that the course starts on 1 May and group of members is being formed till then, but rather everyone is free to start the course whenever they feel like.
And then there is maximum duration of course (in days) with content dripping option. This maximum duration is indvidual for each client – it is not that course start on 1 May and end on 15 May for everyone. It is rather that person who starts the course on 4 May will have it completed on 19 May and person who starts on 11 May will have it completed on 25 May.
Can this work like this ?

1. Yes, you can do this easily with WPLMS Customizer plugin. We have lots of coding tips available in our forums to customize this theme. All our coding tips require same set of instructions, so once your get it, you would not mess up. You can always ask for help on any issue.
2. I may have misunderstood the on-demand course but allow me clarify this :
1. A Course can be purchased at any point of time.
2. Once a course is purchased, a maximum time limit for pursuing the course is set. The student must complete the course within this stipulated time limit. Otherwise the course goes in the expired state and student has to purchase it again.
3. Student can however start the course at any point in time.
4. Yes, there is no static time for starting and ending a course, everything starts when the course is purchased (instead when the course is started).
Since every system needs some ad-hoc mechanism to fix small issues which may appear, there are several ways in which an administrator can troubleshoot any issue appearing in the process. We’ve provided an inbuilt ad-hoc management tool for Administrator.

1. Child Themes are not successful with BuddyPress themes, because you would have to copy all the template files from parent into the child. We’ll include child themes in the package once the templates files in the theme are not changing.
2. Include the Fonts in Options Panel -> Fonts manager, Go to Theme Customizer and you can change the fonts.
3. It is scheduled for version 1.6

sorry another question and thanks for answering my previous ones:
1) Can we use a different slider? For example I have revolution slider and infinite slider – is this theme compatible with them through using the shortcode in the theme or would I need to edit the header file through the editor to add them? I ask as some themes allow you to simply paste the shortcode within them while others insist you do it via the editor – does this one allow these sliders and what is the method? (shortcode or editor?)
2) When I asked previously about this theme having domain locking – I wasnt planning on transferring my wordpress test website to the main one – I was wondering if I could simply then deactivate the theme on my test website and install it on my target one without transferring my wordpress installation across? I want to practice using the theme on a test website so if anything goes wrong I dont have to start from the beginning etc and when happy with what I have learn’t – transfer the license for my single domain to the main domain and website I wish to customise? I’m wondering if you specifically lock the license key to the first domain its activated on? Or it can be transferred after?

Also sorry just to add a possible recommendation for the next update please!!- is it possible to add more social icons? Like facebook, twitter, google+ connectivity icons on the homepage for people to like the facebook page for the website as well as all the other social platforms? Also perhaps on the courses too so when people take a course it gives them an option that says something like “thanks for signing up! why not tell your friends about it too?” with an option to share, +1, tweet etc?
I recommend this considering Googles current and future algorithm updates are pushing more towards social markers for ranking and this is something that’s lacking from an SEO perspective I notice? (my area of expertise)
This would seal this theme into a must have theme for SEO experts too which is the most important factor when it comes to websites currently – would you please consider this in your next update? Our project starts in a couple of months and it would be fairly crucial for us as well as others I imagine!

1. Theme is compatible with Revolution slider and we have a Page builder block for revolution slider, however I haven’t tested it with the Infinite slider. For more you may want to check out Page builder guide and online documentation for WPLMS.
2. Currently No, there is no domain locking, but all the updates require your Themeforest Username/API key.
3. This feature is already in our to do list.
