Hi @Joaquim_
The larger the dimension, the clearer the image. We usually use 800×800 or 1000×1000.
Best regards
Hi Porto,
Regarding this. I have tested with a bigger image (1000×688). (Vertical image).
snapPorto1.JPG In the product layout the image is better than previously size but not excellent. When I press the icon ” + ” at the bottom right of the image to do it bigger then the image becomes excellent. In the following snap you can see. snapPorto2.JPG
https://www.candleart.es/snapPorto1.JPG https://www.candleart.es/snapPorto2.JPGI don’t know what to do, maybe removing the ” + ” icon. I would like to see the image with the quality as the product have.
thanks a lot, Joaquín Candle Art www.candleart.es
Hello @Joaquim_
I saw your product page.
Just because the image size is always larger than the size it should be rendered doesn’t mean it looks sharp.
The width of the dimension to be rendered must be a divisor of the image width or be the same.
However, the width of the area to be rendered is 524px and the image is 530px, so it is spread.
Therefore, either register the image size of 524px and proceed with regenerate, or make the space where the image should be displayed be 530px.
Best regards.
Hi Porto, I understand I should upload again the image to 524×524. Or the other option make the space where the image should be displayed be 530×530 (as my actual size). Can you please give me details how to do this for making space to 530×530 ? Will be needed to regenerate as some way ?
thanks a lot, Joaquín Candle Art
Hello @Joaquim_
To set it to 530px, you need to artificially adjust the space outside the picture. I saw your single product page. This page should have a custom style that makes the padding for the class “product-images”. In my opinion, the padding should be 2px.
Please refer to the next article below to make the picture 530×530 pixels.
https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/faq/how-to-change-product-image-sizes/Regards.
Hi Porto,
I already have 530px adjusted. https://candleart.es/Sizeimages.JPG Currently I’m using the layout: transparent images product layout: https://www.candleart.es/Transparentimages.JPGI don’t know if I should change the value 530px or something. Or regenerate I don’t know.
thanks, Joaquín Candle Art
Hello @Joaquim_
If you want to drop to a 1:1 image, just do as you currently set it up. If you want to keep the image ratio as it is, set it to uncropped, and if you want to set the ratio, set it to cropped.
Currently, since you set it to 1:1, a single prdouct will display a 530×530 image.
So let’s see how to regenerate an image.
1. Install the regenerate thumbnail plugin. (https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/)
2. Go to Tools>Regenerate Thumbnails and click the ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ button.
3. Go to the Single Product page and check if the image size has changed.
Hope things go well.
If you like it, please leave a review.
Enjoy Porto Theme.
Best regards.
Hi Porto,
After regenerate thumnail I see my main product image (not the thumnail small image) I mean the main image product with the same quality, not excellent (despixelled).

Hello! With your latest update YOAST breadcrumbs are not working. How to replace porto breadcrumbs with yoast breadcrumbs?
Hello @arturs4
Thank you for contacting us. Yes, you are right.
If you use YOAST breadcrumb, the theme options of the breadcrumb will not work flexibility.
So in this version, we made our breadcrumbs always visible.
If you still want to use it, you need to override the page header template by using a child theme.
Best regards.
How do I do that? I’m already using Porto child theme.
Hello @arturs4
1. Add to the child theme with the same structure as the currently used page header template.
If you use page header 2 as an example, create porto-child/page_header/page_header_2.php and copy the parent theme file.
2. Here, call a user-defined function or yoast_breadcrumb() at the part where porto_breadcrumb is called.
Best regards.
it worked. thank you very much!

Hello, I have seen that you have critical css functionality in the latest versions of your theme. Do you have a WPBakery demo which uses this critical css function? For example this one does not seem to use it: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/corporate17/ This could be a deal maker for me if critical css could make google lighthouse performance numbers much better. Thank you!
Hello @bvfelectronics
Thank you for contacting us.
Please set ‘Merge stylesheets’ and ‘critical css’ in porto>speed optimize wizard>advanced. As you wish, I just generated the critical css for corporate 7.
As you can see below, mobile score is 97, desktop score is 100.
Please see results.

Hello. I noticed that your blog post (for example this: https://www.romeing.it/shop/aegea-mosaici/) doesn’t have any H1. At least on my website. How can I fix this? thanks
Hello @romeing
Thank you for contacting us.
I saw your website. You developed the page content, even the page title, using WPBakery. So I think if you change the title tag to H1, there is no problem.
Best regards
Hello, Porto. I updated the 6.7.1 theme and it caused a problem with my page: The side menu bar on the homepage of the mobile version cannot be opened. Many pictures on the site cannot be displayed. The footer disappears. Product page images cannot be displayed. The payment method location picture on the checkout page cannot be displayed. Hello!
Thanks for the new version.
How can the Porto theme provide high performance?
Until now, using other WooCommerce themes has not been able to guarantee smooth performance. How is it in Porto? If yes, how? And how to use Critical CSS and Merged JS/CSS in Porto.
Thank you again!
Hello @lodrigojan117
The Porto theme utilizes several features to ensure high performance for users. This includes features such as Critical CSS, Merged JS/CSS, Defer Loading and Image Optimization to name a few.
Critical CSS is a method that loads the necessary CSS in the initial HTML request, allowing the browser to render the visible parts of the page quickly. Porto optimizes Critical CSS that is loaded with the initial HTML request and delivers a much faster rendering of the page.
Merged JS/CSS is a feature that allows the theme to combine multiple JS/CSS files into one big file to reduce the overall page size. This allows for faster page loading for users with slower internet connections.
Image Optimization is another feature that is included in Porto, which allows for optimizing the images that are used in the theme. This helps to improve loading times by reducing the size of the images while maintaining the same quality.
Defer loading is a feature that helps to improve loading times. It allows the loading of some of the assets used in the theme to be deferred until after the initial page render has completed. This ensures that the page loads faster and more efficiently. please read more about that:
